Wheelchairs
Wheelchairs must be labeled and protected by adapted coverings.
You may transport up to 2 wheelchairs free of charge in the hold.
Indicate your oversized item when booking your ticket with an Air France ticket office or your travel agency, or after having completed your reservation online.
Hunting rifles for sport use
Air rifles and hunting rifles are regulated weapons.
Their transport requires specific authorization and an accord. Indicate these items when reserving your trip (by telephone or at an agency) to obtain the necessary transport accord.
Hunting rifles must be unloaded and packed separately from ammunition. You must indicate these items at check-in.
This material is included in the baggage allowance.
To transport a rifle, you must hold: - a firearms license, to be shown at check-in, - the documents necessary for the transport of weapons and ammunition (export/import licenses, authorizations delivered by local and national authorities).
Ammunition
The following are accepted: - ammunition for all hunting weapons, - ammunition for weapons of a caliber lower than 19.1 mm.
However, their transport requires specific authorization and an accord. Indicate these items when booking your trip (by telephone or at a ticket office) to obtain the necessary transport accord.
Ammunition must be stored in a rigid cardboard, wood, or metal container, and respect the limit of 5Kg/11 lb. per passenger. - Cartridges must be stored in the proper packaging. All empty space must be filled with a padding material to avoid slippage during flight.
Musical instruments
Your musical instrument must not exceed a maximum weight of 75Kg/165 lb.
Please note: some musical instruments are accepted in the cabin without prior agreement: violins, mandolins, banjos, etc.
They must not measure more than 55cm/21.7 in. (L) x 35cm/13.8 in. (W) x 25cm/9.8 in. (H)
The container must have rounded edges.
It is not possible to increase the weight allowance.
An accord is necessary for the transport of oversized and fragile instruments that require a seat (cellos, bass, etc.).
