The A380 evokes luxury and serenity. Spacious cabins, high ceilings, and unequalled surface areas on each of the two levels combine to elicit a feeling of exceptional space. Did you know that the A380 boasts 50% more floor surface area than the Boeing 747? The A380 provides ample onboard leisure activities. A discovery space, called "the gallery", exhibits a unique array of artwork for your viewing pleasure. The aircraft's 6 bars encourage meeting and discussion. Lighting in each of these areas changes color depending on the time, cabin, and flight phase, for an emotive ambience.

More entertainment
|

The A380 offers a completely new entertainment system with wider video screens and easier controls. In just a few clicks, you can access your choice from among 85 on-demand movies and some 300 CDs. With this new system, you can also chat with other passengers in themed forums and download content onto a USB flash drive, including the destination guide, children's games, relaxation videos and podcasts, and more. Is your notebook computer low on battery power? You can now recharge your computer using one of the aircraft's electrical outlets.

More environmentally friendly
|
|
|
The A380 benefits from the latest technological innovations. The materials used in its construction - carbon fiber and glare (a mix of fiberglass and aluminum) - lighten the aircraft by several metric tons, considerably reducing its fuel consumption. In addition, its 4 GP7200 engines are more energy efficient: they require less than 3 liters per passenger for 100 km. The A380 records one of the lowest levels of fuel consumption and CO2 emissions per seat.

An area reserved for reduced-mobility passengers
|
|
In order to best accommodate handicapped and reduced-mobility passengers, the layout of the A380 has been carefully planned, with notably:
- large and accessible restrooms,
- adjustable armrests on 99% of seats,
- 2 on-board transfer chairs,
- seat rows displayed in Braille.
