Refunds

For airline tickets, paid options or other services, find everything you need to know about refund requests here.

Please note: if you bought your tickets or paid options anywhere other than directly from Air France (at a travel agency, for example) please contact the point of sale directly to request your refund.
In the "Your reservations" area of the website, you can submit a refund request for a ticket, for all excluding Flying Blue Award tickets, if:

  • you bought your ticket at least 2 days and up to 12 months ago,
  • you have not received your boarding pass.
 
 
 
Please note:
 
If several people are included in the same booking, your refund request will apply to all the tickets within that booking. The refund amount is calculated based on your tickets's fare conditions (excluding non-refundable service charges).
If you are already checked in, please cancel your check-in online before proceeding with your refund request.
If a refund request is not available when you log in to the "Your reservations" section of the website, please complete the refund request form below: Complete the refund request form
If you do not meet the above conditions, the refund request will not be processed.
You can then request a refund by filling the online form.
For tickets purchased through another payment method than by credit card, please include your bank information to your request.
For tickets refunds request made 24h of purchase, please follow the instruction mentioned
   below under the "Special Case: Ticket refund within 24 hours of purchase" paragraph.

  • *request via refund form is subject to a $22 fee.

If you have purchased Allianz Travel insurance from Air France with your ticket, you must cancel your reservation with Air France and submit your claim to Allianz Assistance.

We recommend you contact your service provider before submitting your refund request online. Service providers contact détails are listed in your confirmation e-mail.

When you send your refund request in the mail, remember to attach any supporting documents needed (tickets, hospitalization records, description of extenuating circumstances obliging you to cancel your trip, etc.).

We remind you that only original documents are accepted (photocopies or faxes are not accepted), and we suggest that you retain photocopies for your records.

Special case: Ticket Refund Within 24 Hours of Purchase
You can request your refund within 24 hours of purchase by writing to the following email address: contact.en.us@airfrance.fr Include the following important information:
Subject: Customer First Program Name
Flight and Date
Reservation Number


** Air France requires an email or letter denying the claim or cancellation notice from the insurance before we are able to process refund request
