1. Where can I find Air France's lowest fares?

Our lowest fares are advertised on our website and in our free monthly e-newsletter.

There are two ways to access the lowest fares of Air France on our site:
- Choose from the fares and destinations advertised on our homepage.
- Go to our “Best Fares” section, under “Book online / Flight status”, on this page you can either choose directly your departure city in the list, which will take you to our search engine, or you can click on the destination pages.

2. I can't book a fare advertised in the e-news or on the website. Why?

Sale fares are subject to limited availability and may not be available on the date, time or flight selected. Try selecting another date, time or flight. Fares are usually lower during midweek.

3. How can I find Air France's lowest fares?

Because our lowest fares are limited and go quickly out of stock, you may not always be able to book them on a flight selected. There are, however, a few tips to increase your chance of getting the lowest fares:

- Discounted seats go quickly out of stock, this is why you must not hesitate to book well in advance.
- Our sale fares usually have advance purchase requirements of 7 days so book your flight at least 7 days before your desired date of departure.
- When searching for a low fare, allow yourself alternative travel dates, as your preferred date might not be available due to high demand.
- Avoiding peak-time travel will give you better chances of getting a low fare. Off-peak times are between Tuesday and Thursday.
- Our best fares are often restricted to have a Saturday night stay, so be ready to take at least a whole weekend for your journey.
- Our best fares are valid on round-trip journeys only.
- New fare promotions arrive every week, therefore bookmark our page and be sure to visit our best fares page regularly.
- Signing up to our newsletter will give you an easy access to our new promotions if you don't have the time to visit our website regularly.

4. What are sale fares?

Sale fares, also known as best fares, are special short-term restricted fares (see definition for Unrestricted fares) and require advance purchases.

5. What are restricted fares?

Fares to which one or more of the following restrictions have been applied:

- Specific travel dates
- Minimum and maximum stay
- Advance purchase
- Weekend surcharge
- Depending on fares, penalties for cancellation or change or, cancellation or change not allowed
- "Sell by" date

6. What are unrestricted fares?

These fares have no restrictions and therefore are the most expensive.

7. What are Web fares?
Web fares can only be booked online on airfrance.com/us. They cannot be purchased through travel agencies, our ticket offices or by calling Air France Reservations. These special fares are lower than our lowest published fares, are non-refundable, require advance purchase, are subject to limited availability and may not be available on all flights at all times.
