| After you run the Widget by Air France's installer, you may see a security warning dialog box. The security warning dialog box may indicate the digital authentication signature, which insures you that the Widget by Air France is safe. If you received the executable from any source other than Air France, it is better to cancel the installation and download the Installer from the Widget by Air France download page. |
| 6. | Why does my firewall issue a security warning once the Widget by Air France is installed? | ||
| The Widget by Air France application needs to access the Internet occasionally to check if there are any contents it needs to display. If there are, Keep-in-Touch will download these contents in the background. These are the only reasons why the Widget by Air France needs to access the Internet so you should allow it through your firewall. Click on the [Allow] button. This is very important. If you do not allow the Widget by Air France, you will not receive contents and you will have to change your firewall parameters. |
| 7. | Does the Widget by Air France contain adware, spyware or other viruses? Are you tracking my personal information without my consent? | ||
| No, the Widget by Air France does not contain any type of spyware or virus. The only information the application sends back are anonymous statistics. Anyway, according to the law and our privacy policy, you always have the possibility to ask us to remove all personal information from our Database. |
| 8. | I receive too few or too many contents. Can I parameter the number of alerts I will receive? | ||
| Yes, you can. Just open your settings panel by right-clicking on the icon and selecting [Settings] in the menu. You will very easily parameter the maximum number of alerts you will receive in a week. You can also fine-tune your alerts definitions by clicking on the [Manage my alerts] menu topic or widget tab. |
| 9. | I want to change some settings of my Widget by Air France. How do I access these settings? | ||

| 10. | Is the Widget by Air France storing all of the contents on my computer? Will I run out of space? | ||
| No. Keep-in-Touch is designed to match your PC's capacities (in term of CPU, RAM as well as free disk space). For instance, once a content has been removed, all related files are deleted. |
| 11. | Is the Widget by Air France using a lot of resources of my computer? | ||
| Not at all. The Widget by Air France uses very few RAM and CPU (less than 5 MB RAM when it downloads some content, maybe 1 or 2 minutes in a day). The Widget by Air France is designed to match your computer capacities (in term of CPU, RAM as well as free disk space). |
| 12. | I do not want to receive the alerts for a while. Do I have to close the application or is there a kind of "DND" mode? | ||
| Yes, there is. Just click the [Suspend alerts] topic in the icon menu. You will continue to receive some contents but no alert will be displayed. To displays alerts again, just re-check the [Activate alerts] topic in the icon menu. |
| 13. | The sound the Widget by Air France is doing is disturbing. How can I turn it off? | ||
| Very simple! To mute your Widget by Air France, open the Settings and uncheck the "sound" option. |
| 14. | How can I uninstall the Widget by Air France? | ||

If you use Windows, click on the Windows [Start] button, then on [All Programs], find [Widget by Air France] and lastly, click on [Uninstall] and follow the instructions. You can also remove the Widget by Air France from Windows Add/Remove Programs, located in the Control Panel. If you have a Mac computer, just move the application into the Trash. Note: If you have the feeling that the number of contents you receive does not match your expectations, you have to know that you can customize this. |
| 15. | When I click on [Open widget] in the icon menu, nothing happens! Why? | ||

There are 2 possible reasons: - The Widget by Air France application uses Flash player 8. Maybe you did not install it. OR - Your screen definition does not suit the Widget by Air France requirements. You will have to set at least 16-bits colors. To do that on Windows, right-click on your Windows desktop, choose [Properties] and the [parameters] tab. And change this setting. |
| 16. | Why do I get a security warning from Windows Firewall or my personal firewall when I run the Widget by Air France? | ||
| Firewalls are simple protection tools that help to prevent malicious software from using your computer without your agreement. When you see this warning, you should select the Unblock button to allow the Widget by Air France to make Internet connections. This is very important. If you do not allow the Widget by Air France, you will not receive contents and you will have to change your firewall parameters. |
| 17. | I did not allow the Widget by Air France to access to the Internet in my firewall. How can I go back? | ||

If you choose to block the Widget by Air France, you will be unable to download content. There are a lot of different firewalls, but if you use Windows Firewall, you will need to do the following to enable the Widget by Air France to run properly: o Click the Start Menu button o Choose the Control Panel o When the Control Panel window appears, choose the Windows Firewall o When the Windows Firewall dialog appears, choose the Exceptions tab o Place a check mark next to Widget by Air France Client o If it is not listed, click the Add Program button o Click the Browse button o Navigate to the Keep-in-Touch programs directory (typically C:\Program Files\ Widget by Air France) o Choose the Widget by Air France Client program o Click the Open button o If the Widget by Air France Client appears in the list, make sure that it is checked o Click the OK button to save the changes o Close the Control Panel window |
| 18. | Ever since installing some additional Windows Packs, the Widget by Air France has stopped displaying alerts. How do I get it working again? | ||

Some packs, such as Service Pack 2 for Windows XP, introduces Microsoft´s new features, which may include a personal firewall. Sometimes Windows Firewall will avoid the Widget by Air France from accessing the Internet to check for new contents. To restore its permissions, follow these steps: o From the Windows [Start] button, choose "Control Panel" (or "Settings > Control Panel if using the "Classic Start Menu"). o Click the icon named "Security Center". o In the resulting window, click the "Windows Firewall" link. o The Windows Firewall settings panel will appear. From here choose the "Exceptions" tab. o Click on the "Add Program..." o In the given list, find the Widget by Air France application, highlight it and click "OK" o Ok once again and close the Security Center and close Control Panel. |
| 19. | I can't find the icon in the system tray anymore. Where has it gone? | ||

If you use Windows, there are 2 possible reasons: - Windows just hide it. To retrieve it, simply click the "<<" button in the system tray. OR - Explorer.exe has crashed and then did not correctly restore icons. Be aware that the Widget by Air France is still running. To retrieve the icon, try to run Explorer again using your Task Manager. You can access the Task Manager by holding down "CTRL + ALT + DEL". If you have a Mac computer, try to launch the Widget by Air France again. |
| 20. | When I try to launch the Widget by Air France, nothing seems to happen. | ||

On Windows, access the Task Manager by holding down "CTRL + ALT + DEL", highlight "WidgetAirFrance.exe" in the "Processes" tab and click on [End Process]. Then try to launch the Widget by Air France again. If you have a Mac computer, open the Activity monitor, highlight "Widget by AirFrance" in the processes list and click on the [Quit process] button, and then confirm by clicking on the [Force quit] button. Then try to launch the Widget by Air France again. |
