64th edition of the Ravello Festival

A stone's throw away from Naples, Ravello is a pearl of the Amalfi coast. It welcomes a high calibre festival of classical music that overlooks the ocean.

The effervescence of Naples invites for a getaway to the quiet and nearby Amalfi coast. One of the most beautiful villages in the region, Ravello stands between heaven and sea and, in the summer, breathes and lives for music, as a tribute to Richard Wagner, one of the all-time great guests it ever hosted. The German composer sat up temporary home at Villa Rufolo, a wondrous palace from the 13th century prolonged by splendid terrace gardens overlooking the Gulf of Salerno.

Since 1953, talented musicians, renowned jazz combos and classical orchestras like the Royal Philharmonic and Rostropovich have chosen that lush green setting to perform. Since 2010, the wave-shaped and concrete-built Oscar Niemeyer auditorium also welcomes festival concerts. This very special event in a unique setting is sure to give any music lover a thrill. Emotion guaranteed!
