America's Cup World Series in the bay of Toulon

After Mascate, New York and Chicago, the most beautiful bay in Europe welcomes the fifth Louis Vuitton America's Cup World Series event on September 9-10-11.

It is not the America's Cup, but looks like it. America's Cup World Series (AWCS) consists of several preliminary races before the 35th edition begins in Bermuda in 2017. The two top teams will earn bonus points before official competition starts.

The fifth stage of the 2016 calendar is Toulon. The date is set for September 10-11 and the French city can boast about being only the third in Europe to host a race in the America's Cup World Series. French skipper Franck Cammas of Groupama Team France is already preparing for this event.

It will be a perfect opportunity to admire the five challengers and Oracle Team USA, winner of America's Cup since 2010. The event will actually start in Toulon on September 9th, with cultural and sports activities as well as street performances.
