Art season in the Windy City

Expo Chicago kicks off the art season in Chicago with an event worthy of the major international art fairs.

For its fifth edition, Expo Chicago positions itself as a major fair for contemporary art in the United States, with representation from 140 galleries, 17 countries, and 43 cities. While all the principal galleries are present, along with collectors and buyers, this event also puts young galleries and new artists on a pedestal. The show builds bridges between generations in the ‘Dialogues' section, highlights original works thanks to the ‘In/Situ' programme, and gives carte blanche to videographers and artists in new media. In parallel, many installations by emerging artists are on exhibit both at the fair and throughout the city.
