Contemporary art takes to the streets of Toulon

For three days, the historic neighbourhood in Toulon transforms into an art gallery. Open to the general public, this is the place to acquire affordable art.

‘Art for All' is the objective of the organisers of the 7th edition of SMAC. The Super Market for Contemporary Art presents works selected by a rigorous and committed jury, which are then shown in galleries, museums, and unusual places in Toulon's historic district. More than 3,500 paintings, photographs, prints, drawings, sculptures, etc. are put on sale at very affordable prices, ranging from 30 to 300 EUR. Over the past six years, this free event has become a place of dialogue and exchange between artists, amateurs, and beginners, with each edition attracting more than 5,000 visitors.
