Get your paddles out for the Summer Cup!

For one weekend in July, La Baule becomes the national capital city of stand-up paddleboarding (SUP), welcoming the 6th edition of the popular Summer Cup.

The Summer Cup was created by Harold Quinquis, former kitesurfing professional. Due to its public success, it became one of five official contests in France's SUP Championship, with a “Long distance” race (or “12.6 as experts call it), 12 kilometres long, instead of 6 for the “technical” race.

There are many other activities offered throughout the weekend, some more party-oriented and some accessible to children. For 3 days, have some fun, whether on the beach or during open evening parties. The event is sponsored by the OMEO association (protecting the oceans), and celebrities, champs and anyone alike is sworn to an environmentally friendly practice of water sports. Those three days are sure to please all sea lovers, who may enjoy the amenities of the seaside resort, only 70km from Nantes.
