The owner and chef, José Andrés, a native of Asturias, is a star he even accompanied Barack Obama to a summit in Nairobi in 2015, where he met with African leaders. Located in the vibrant Penn Quarter, Jaleo has been adopted by a youthful, relaxed clientele that includes many tourists.

The menu offers traditional Spanish dishes, such as crispy slices of bread grated with fresh tomato, the essential gazpacho – tomato-based soup with cucumber, peppers and white bread – or the famous paella, served with rice. You can also choose among various smoked Iberian meats, and for dessert an olive oil and grapefruit ice cream or a large selection of homemade sorbets. You won't be disappointed!
