On Lim hill, five big stages are set up where performers in traditional outfits put on shows non-stop. In pairs or in groups divided by gender, men and women take turns interpreting the Quan ho folk songs. Quan ho in the province of Bac Ninh was recognised in 2009 as part of UNESCO's World Intangible Cultural Heritage.
As part of this festival, which ends on the 13th day of the first lunar month, two weeks after the Tet holiday, processions alternate with rituals, all punctuated by dancing and singing competitions. Many folk activities are also organised, like traditional wrestling, card and swinging games, and rice cooking contests, among others.
