Piknic Electronik in the heart of summer

The 14th edition of Piknic Electronik kicks off on May 22nd and 23rd. Last year's shows welcomed 110,000 festivalgoers, primarily on the Sundays of the Montréal summer.

The Piknic Electronik festival brings a fourth dimension to the Calder stabile, the star sculpture of the Jean Drapeau Park. These bucolic grounds are the setting for this summer event that, last year, had about 5,000 ‘piknickers' dancing every Sunday from the afternoon into the heart of a warm night. With 286 hours of music on both stages of the park, and with 153 artists and guest DJs, the programme highlights Canadian music makers, but does not forget those from other continents––one of the festival's objectives being to scrutinize current and international trends. Montréal's electronic music scene will also be present in the city through partnerships focusing on reclaiming urban spaces with block parties, culinary explorations, and other dance events on Fridays.
