Rabat celebrates music!

The Mawazine Rhythms of the World Festival has Rabat dancing and singing for a week to the tunes of the greatest singers in the world.

This is a one-of-a-kind festival. Sting, George Benson, and Ennio Morricone have all played here with the Royal Symphony Orchestra. Quincy Jones, along with RedOne, produced the song for Bokra solidarity here, the proceeds of which were donated to arts and cultural education projects for children. The Mawazine Rhythms of the World Festival brings international singers to the Moroccan public and the Eastern art scene to the international singers. The festival is an opportunity for authentic meetings and exchanges because the concerts, which take place outdoors and in several spaces around the city, are all free. The 2016 programme includes Christina Aguilera and Maitre Gims for the international side and Samia Tawil and Kadim Al Sahir for the Eastern. Whatever you do, do not miss these last two artists. Moroccan rocker Tawil will perform her new, unreleased, tracks, while Iraqi singer-songwriter Al Sahir is simply the most famous singer in the Arab world.
