If you have a hard time making a list of three contemporary poets, come to Medellin! This Colombian city, known for many years for its cartels, has made poetry its arm of redemption, and the music of its words is enchanting. The guest of honour in 2016 is Norwegian Terje Dragseth, a young poet who shares the culture of his generation, telling science fiction stories in verse. Homage is also paid to Ashraf Fayad, the Palestinian poet. Among others who will be present are: Ashur Etwebi, Bruce Weigl, Carl Ruck, and Hatto Fischer. All are participants in the modern world and defend their values through their words.
