Shanghai Disney Resort: the park of all excesses

After 8 years of negotiations between the Disney company and China, the gigantic Disney theme park opened in Shanghai on June 16th, 2016.

With a massive cost of US $3.75 billion, Shanghai Disney Resort is the sixth Disney theme park in the world, and the second in China. It is sure to be a favourite holiday destination for all Chinese and foreign visitors in the area.

Gigantic natural parks and recreation areas, spread over 11 hectares and endowed with lakes and fountains, immediately plunges the visitor in the Disney magic as they enter the Enchanted Storybook Castle, the biggest of its kind in any other park. When you take the tortuous staircase leading to this land of enchantment, you will dive into the Once Upon a Time Adventure attraction, which stages the best known characters of the Disney mythology.

Peter Pan's Flight, Tomorrowland and Voyage to the Crystal Grotto – a wonderful ride with breathtaking special effects – are only some of the attractions that will bring tears of pleasure to your eyes at the Shanghai Disney Resort.

On top of the immense theme park, the site offers two thematic hotels, a lake, recreational areas, a car park, an auditorium, several restaurants and many squares and green areas…
