Show off your swing in Tahiti

At the Tahiti International Golf Open, golf and putting pros traverse 72 holes in four days on the beautiful greens of the Olivier Bréaud golf course.

French Polynesia has only two golf courses, one in Tahiti and one in Moorea (opened in 2007 and designed by American legend Jack Nicklaus), but it has been hosting an international open for 30 years. Over the 18-hole Tahitian course, the competition brings together 50 professionals and 40 amateurs. If they are not focused on their swings and putts, they are admiring the beauty of the site, a former cotton plantation. The course is nearly six kilometres long, and the competition, approved by the French Golf Federation, is part of the PGA (Professional Golf Association) circuit.
