Sziget: the largest music festival in Europe

This European Woodstock welcomes 400,000 visitors each year—the artists love it and so do the fans.

Founded in 1992 and taking place on Óbuda Island in the middle of the Danube river, this music festival offers an eclectic mix. This year Rihanna is the opening act, while David Guetta, Noel Gallagher, Muse, Jake Bugg, M83, and Manu Chao are all on the agenda.

In the name of art and freedom, the entire island is transformed into a magical place with installations, coloured sculptures, and original art projects—such as a dragon, made of 15,000 bottles, that measures 25 metres in length. New this year is the Eden Village, an area where each can live in harmony with nature and without prejudice.
