Tágide and Tágide Wine and Tapas Bar: an exceptional view of Lisbon

In the heart of Chiado, a more casual alternative to the gourmet restaurant of the same name.

For more than 30 years, the Restaurante Tágide has served excellent Portuguese cuisine in a cosy atmosphere enhanced by large, blue-carpeted rooms, soft lighting, and small balconies opening onto the banks of the Tagus. Down on the ground floor, you can also enjoy the Tágide Wine & Tapas Bar.

The building was once part of the St Francis Convent, and several elements from this period still remain today, combined with tasteful 1950s decor. The bar also offers spectacular views over the rooftops of the capital. Enjoy delicious dishes in this welcoming and relaxed spot: the best options are the Portuguese tapas (petiscos) with scrambled eggs à la farinheira (sausage), Bulhão Pato clams or even stuffed breaded sardines, all accompanied by a masterful selection of Portuguese wines. A jazz band plays Friday nights, a perfect addition to the proceedings.
