The 16th edition of the Milan Marathon

Included in the programme of the Milan Marathon are the architectural wonders of the Lombardy capital, athletic performances, and charity work.

The runners with the greatest endurance will be present for the 16th edition of the Milano City Marathon. The 43-kilometre route has been carefully considered by Haile Gebrselassie, the legendary Ethiopian athlete. This long distance runner—one of the best in the world—has made the route of the Lombardy race a sporting challenge that is very tempting for performance enthusiasts. But not only for them! For the Milan City Marathon also makes it possible to meander through the streets of the city to see its most beautiful monuments: the Teatro alla Scala, of course, but also the Arena Civica, the Arco della Pace, the Stazione Centrale, and the Duomo. Finally, participants are invited to compete on behalf of a charity, which is a compelling and worthy initiative.
