The 41st TIFF: Toronto at the movies

TIFF brings 10 days of cinema to Toronto.

On the international film festival calendar, the Toronto International Film Festival comes after Cannes, Venice, and Berlin. In September, professionals from around the world flock to the red carpet in Canada's biggest city. Between screenings, famous actors smile for the international press corps. TIFF always causes a stir, and brings acclaimed films one more step towards the Oscars. TIFF also allows the public to vote for the People's Choice Award.

Among the many award-winning films shown at TIFF are Women on the Edge of a Nervous Breakdown, Life is Beautiful, Amélie and Eastern Promises. Again in 2016, the festival will, without doubt, live up to its reputation.
