The Cité du Vin in photographs

The first temporary exhibition at the brand new Bordeaux ‘Cité du Vin' narrates 36 months of its construction in pictures.

Just opened, the highly anticipated City of Wine begins its cycle of exhibitions with a carte blanche to Isabelle Rozenbaum, a photographer who has followed the ambitious construction of this architectural challenge step-by-step. This building of such strong character, made of glass and perforated lacquered aluminium, springs from the heart of Bordeaux, as seen in the 88 photos on display. Far from the codes of traditional architectural photography, Rozenbaum's work recounts the genesis of a living building, linked to wine and the earth, with organic and surprising images. It is a touching and sensitive tribute to those who have literally brought the Cité du Vin to life after three years of building.
