The DMY Berlin: see the future of design

The DMY Berlin is an independent festival dedicated to creative, experimental, and innovative design.

The DMY International Design Festival Berlin, founded in 2003, is much more than yet another showcase of contemporary design. Leading creative, young Berlin designers present their latest ideas, design their utopias, and imagine the future under the hungry eyes of cool-hunters, industrialists, and investors.

For five days the boundaries between design and art appear to be increasingly shifting. An international design event and a must for creative research, it is held in the formidable Kraftwerk building, the old East German power station built at the same time as the Berlin Wall. Dimitri Hegemann rehabilitated part of the site in 2004 to house the techno club Tresor.
