The Lisbon Marathon, a race Rock ‘n' Roll style

All running lovers from Lisbon swear they will join in their city marathon at least once in their life.

Each the Lisbon Marathon happens at a different time and offers a different circuit. This 29th iteration will actually take place in Cascais, 30km west of the Capital. This very popular race of a little more than 42km attracts thousands of professional and non-professional runners each year.

The new circuit will take each participant along the shore on the Costa do Estoril, where the Portuguese landscape is beautiful and the ocean turquoise. The race starts at 8:30 a.m. in a festive and musical mood, hence the Rock ‘n' Roll Marathon. Finish line set at the “Expo” Parque das Nações (1998 Lisbon World Exposition).

Registration fee: 45 EUR until 30 June, then 55 EUR from 1 July to 21 September
