Magic works like a charm as you step in City Market, one of Nairobi's famous covered markets located in the triangle formed by the corner of Market, Muindi Mbingu and Koinange streets. It offers stands of produce, flowers, meat and crafts spreading as far as the eye can see under the surprising ceiling of the construct built in 1930 near the railway tracks of the time.
To better appreciate traditional Kenyan art, head to the Maasai market on the edge of town. It will be hard to resist temptation there: colourful sisal bags, bright tone clothing, finely weaved wall coverings, not mentioning big and large coloured pearl necklaces. And don't forget that bargaining is very much the usage here!
