The three-day Züri Fäscht festival

Every three years, the largest festival in Switzerland is reflected in the waters of the Limmat River and Lake Zurich.

Two million visitors come to Zurich every three years for Züri Fäscht, the city festival. The city is cleared of cars, trams, and buses along the streets bordering the Limmat and the lake, making space for the giant fairground and food stands boasting culinary specialties from around the world. There is entertainment at Sechseläutenplatz, Bürkliplatz, Hafendamm Enge, on the Mythenquai, Limmatquai, and in front of City Hall. It all culminates on Friday and Saturday night, when three spectacular fireworks displays, set to music, illuminate the Zurich night.
