The Vieilles Charrues Festival

Is it necessary to introduce Vieilles Charrues, the largest French music festival? This gathering is the pride of Brittany's locals and the 2016 edition is expected to be magical!

Every year, over 200,000 music lovers head to the Arrée mountains, where they drop off their luggage for four days—more precisely, at the Kerampuilh site in Carhaix-Plouguer, at the very end of Finistère, which has welcomed Brittany's most mythic music festival since 1992: the Vieilles Charrues. In 20 years, Miossec, Nougaro, James Brown, the Blues Brothers, Massive Attack, Pierre Perret, Joe Cocker, Patti Smith, 2 Many DJ's and The Cure have performed on its three stages, forging the convivial and eclectic festival's identity, which attracts all generations.

Pop, rock, French and electronic music make up the winning combo of this great summer gathering. With Pharrell Williams, Lana Del Rey, Lou Doillon, The Kills, Pixies, Étienne de Crécy and Michel Polnareff heating up the crowds, the 2016 programme is guaranteed to create lasting memories, especially for 4-day pass holders…
