Thomas Schütte at Moderna Museet

For the first time, Sweden hosts an exhibition devoted to Thomas Schütte, sensitive sculptor of the current art scene.

In Stockholm, on Skeppsholmen, Modern Museet offers contemporary and modern arts lovers a wonderful collection of works by Picasso, Nikki de Saint-Phalle, Andy Warhol and Jasper Johns. But this artistic hotspot really stands out thanks to the quality of its temporary exhibitions.

The museum's rich program now includes an exploration of Thomas Schütte's works entitled “United Enemies”. One of the cutting edge artists of his generation, the sculptor allows himself to venture towards installation, watercolours and drawings.

Playing with scale, connecting figuration and abstraction and confronting the intimate with the monumental, “United Enemies” is an opportunity to discover the scope of Thomas Schütte's work, for the first time on display in Sweden. An omission now corrected by Moderna Museet!
