As it does every year, the 32nd edition of the Warsaw Film Festival highlights independent films made by directors who have already made their names or those who will soon be the talk of the town. Previous editions have introduced home-grown talent Pawel Pawlikowski (director of Ida) and Austrian Michael Haneke to the public before they've gone on to great success, as well as Barbet Schroeder and Catherine Breillat. In addition to amateur film lovers, the festival is also aimed at professionals developing new projects. In 2016, you will be able to experience films from Iceland, Poland (of course), New Zealand and South Korea. For the complete programme, visit the festival website.
