Years of ‘Russian Week' in Tarbes

Russian Week, an ode to Slavic culture, celebrates its 20th year with exciting encounters and discoveries.

For two decades, Tarbes has celebrated Slavic culture in all its forms. The biannual Russian Week festival provides an opportunity to encounter artists from distant Russia in the city's key cultural venues, such as the Théâtre des Nouveautés and the Parvis cinema. To celebrate this anniversary, the directors have been working doubly hard, organising programming around the exclusive arrival of the renowned theatre company Nikolai Kolyada. Russian cabaret and the premiere of the film The Angels of the Revolution, in the presence of its director Alexey Fedorchenko, are among the events, as well as pantomime and eclectic theatrical programming that includes Chekov's The Cherry Orchard and Pushkin's Boris Godounov.
